Abstract:
To provide an improved method to reduce probabilities of mechanical damages by chemical size changes when an object or a system made from a mixed conductivity metal oxide material is heated and cooled.
The processing method of objects containing a mixed conductivity metal oxide material includes (a) to drop or raise temperature of oxygen-containing gas by making the objects in contact with the oxygen-containing gas, (b) to reduce oxygen activity in the oxygen-containing gas when temperature of the oxygen-containing gas is decreased, and (c) to increase oxygen activity in the oxygen-containing gas when temperature of the oxygen-containing gas is raised.
