The silver halide color photographic sensitive material has at least one black image information forming silver halide emulsion layer on the substrate and contains at least one compound of the formula, wherein Cp is the residue of a coupler, SOL is a solubilizing group, (n) is an integer of 1-3 and Ball is a diffusion resistant group which can be released in coupling reaction with the oxidized body of a color developing agent. The compound of the formula is preferably a compound which does not substantially contribute to image formation even when it couples with the oxidized body of the color developing agent. The residue of a dye forming coupler used in an ordinary silver halide photosensitive material may be used as the residue Cp.
