PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To analyze a state represented by sensor data of equipment or the like indicate on the basis of expression by a natural language and to provide an operation instruction to the equipment or the like by an instruction word on the basis of the natural language with regard to data processing technology which treats data with terms for using the equipment such as a robot.
SOLUTION: A group of data classified directly or by processing an input from a sensor 1 is managed as a data base with terms 6 by assigning words by the classification. When there is a sensor input, a feature is extracted by a feature extraction means 2, while a feature comparison/classification means 2 classifies the sensor input by using the data base with terms 6. When there is no sensor input similar to any groups of data classified into the data base with terms 6, those data are classified in an undetermined terms data base 7 and temporarily stored, a term is assigned to those groups of data by a term assignment means 5 and is registered with the data base with terms 6. Also, it is made possible to instruct by attaching a term to an appropriate action by trials as occasion demands.
