Abstract:

To provide a means capable of obtaining raw materials of zinc articles and raw metals from zinc-containing dust at a low cost in fewer treating steps.

The zinc-containing dust generated from a reducing furnace such as a rotary hearth type reducing furnace and a rotary kiln reducing reducible metal oxides containing zinc is mixed with water to produce a slurry, and the slurry is separated into a zinc concentrated powder and a zinc less-concentrated powder by a wet type separator such as a hydrocyclone 3 separating powder utilizing the difference of the particle diameter and the specific gravity of the powder in the slurry.
