Abstract:

To improve prediction accuracy of a processing time required for batch processing even when an error occurs.

A processing time prediction device 1 that predicts a processing time required for batch processing including plural jobs, comprises: a number-of-transaction calculation unit 11 that calculates the number of transactions of each job; a provisional processing time measurement unit 121 that provisionally executes processing of one transaction for each job to measure a provisional processing time; a prediction processing time calculation unit 13 that calculates a prediction processing time assumed for each job; an actual processing time measurement unit 211 that measures an actual processing time required in executing each job; a count unit 212 that counts the number of errors occurring in executing each job; an error rate calculation unit 222 that calculates an error rate of the prediction processing time; and a prediction processing time recalculation unit 23 that recalculates the prediction processing time of an unprocessed job.
