Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a vessel in which a liquid or a mixture of the liquid and a solid is irradiated with ultrasonic wave.
CONSTITUTION: This processing vessel 10 for the liquid includes an impeller 32 for causing circulation in an open-ended shroud 30. The base of the vessel 10 communicates with a short duct 18 which is closed at its lower end and the shroud 30 is shaped so as to ensure circulation into this dead-end duct 18. The duct is provided with ultrasonic modules 24 so that its contents are subjected to intense irradiation. The irradiation of the liquid can lead to improvements in processed product obtained such as by crystallization.
