To accurately transmit an external force in a virtual space to a controller side by calculating the relative deviation between coordinates in the virtual space and the coordinates of the controller and transmitting them to the controller side.
An information processing main body which uses a display screen as a display device is installed in parallel to coordinates in the virtual space (S1). Whether or not there is an external force is detected in the virtual space (S2). To find the angle θ of deviation between the controller and information processing main body, the angle α of deviation of the X-axial direction of a line parallel to the front of the information processing main body from the east-west direction of reference coordinates is found (S3). The line parallel to the front of the controller is defined as an X' axis, the vertical line as a Y' axis, and the angle of deviation of the X'-axial direction from the east - west direction of the reference coordinates as β (S4). Consequently, the angle θof deviation of the controller from the information processing main body is defined as θ=β-α (S5). The angle θ of deviation which is thus calculated is used to applying the external force to the controller (S6).
