Abstract:
PURPOSE:To continuously perform a reading or writing process which is interrupted due to a power failure, etc., when the power supply is restored by successively storing the progressing state of the reading or writing operation and reading out the stored progressing state when the power supply is restored. CONSTITUTION:In the course of a writing process to a card inserted into the card reading and writing section 15 of a processor 11, progressing process step information which indicates the progressing state of each writing process, namely, which indicates how far the writing process advances is stored in a successively storing section 21. When a power failure occurs in the course of the above-mentioned writing process, it is clearly understood that how far the writing process advances when the process step information stored in the storing section 21 is read out, since the process step information is stored in the section 21 at every process. Therefore, when the power failure is restored, a restoring process is performed by reading out the process step information stored in the storing section 21.
