To provide a smooth processor resource management method which is free from any interrupt by limiting the quantity of resources assigned to a real-time data stream and using the selected quantity of resources to a non- real-time task.
A computer device 100 includes an operating system 102, at least a real-time server application 104 and an application 106 of another type. When the processor resources of the device 100 are managed, a certain quantity of processor resources is assigned to a real-time application of the device 100. This quantity of processor resources never exceeds the limit that is selected to one or more groups of real-time applications. The selected quantity of processor resources can be continuously used to at least a non-real-time application of the device 100.
