Title:
PROCESSOR FOR THREE-DIMENSIONAL GRAPHIC
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH01200489
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To allow the title processor to have a function as a man-machine interface by providing an interference computing element for controlling write to an extended Z buffer for holding not only a Z value but also a hue, a name and a luminance information value, and a frame buffer. CONSTITUTION:A graphic processor 1 determines the Z value of XY coordinate points and a luminance information B value, and a frame buffer 4 sets the information of the XY coordinate points as an address and stores a B value. In this state, an extended Z buffer 6 for holding an N value for showing not only the Z value but also the hue and name information, or the N value and the B value is provided. Also, the title processis is provided with an interference computing element which is inserted between the graphic processor 1 and the frame buffer 4, processes an output of the graphic processor 1 by referring to the contents of the buffer 6, and can update the contents of the frame buffer 4 and the contents of the buffer 6 in accordance with its result. Also, since interruption can be applied to a host processor by this interference computing element 3, a three-dimensional graphic processing can be executed effectively as a man-machine interface.
