To produce coffee, which has no bitter taste and no mixed taste, while suppressing the increase in material costs by providing a means for removing silver barks from coffee beans crushed by a coffee mill.
A coffee mill 3 is provided with a silver bark removing part having an air sucking port 47 and a silver bark discharge port 48, a skin shoot 5 is connected to the silver bark discharge port 48, and an air blower 8 is provided at the skin shoot 5. Thus, when the coffee beans, roughly crushed between bean crushing rollers fall into a bean orger, air is sucked from the air sucking port 47 and a coffee bean introducing port 3a by rotating the fan of the air blower 8 and the current of air is generated. Since the silver barks are extremely light in weight, they are fed from the silver bark discharge port 48 to the skin shoot 5 while riding on this air current and moved toward a refuse bucket 9. As a result, the silver barks are removed. The coffee beans, from which the silver barks are removed, are moved toward a milling blade by the bean orger.
