PURPOSE: To make the failure rate lower, operation more efficient and a line shorter by constituting a producing device for cold rolled strips using pickled coils as a starting raw material by combination of high screw-down rolling mills and rolling mills for correcting strip shapes.
CONSTITUTION: In a producing device for cold rolled strips, a strip S is supplied from uncoiling reels 1, 2 for pickled coils, and the strip S which is subjected to skin pass rolling with a looper 3, a cold rolling device 4, a looper 5, an electric cleaner 6, an annealing furnace 7, a looper 8, a skin pass rolling mill 9, a high speed shear 10, etc. is coiled on coiling reels 11, 12. The most important device 4 in said device is constituted of a rolling mill train arranged with a 1-stand 3-pass rolling mill 13 of high draft of about 60W70%, a 1-pass high screw-down rolling mill 21 of relatively high draft of about 30W45%, and a sextuple rolling mill 25 which permits adjustment of the crown shapes of work rolls and corrects the shape of the strip S successively in tandem.
