A controller 100 of an electronic part mounting machine 10 is provided with a MODEM 120 for a portable telephone and am ROM 104 for storing a WWW server 134, and a portable telephone 122 is connected to enable the controller 10 to communicate through a public communication line 128 to an external computer 134. In communication, the portable telephone set 122 is connected to an MODEM 120 for a portable telephone to execute communication, and in non-communication, the portable telephone set 122 is disconnected from the MODEM 120 for the portable telephone to invalidate communication. Thus, it is possible to prevent any illegal intrusion to the controller 100.
