A past product data (1) 108 and a product attribute data 109 are inputted and expanded to attribute data of a component unit to store in a component data with attributes storage area 111. A new product data (2) is inputted, the attribute data of the component unit in the component data with attributes 111 is searched, the attribute data is linked to each relevant component, and product data with attributes 112 is created and stored. The product attribute data is the number of manufacturing, the number of sales, or the number of recovery. When using the data in the development phase of a new product, the state of the components which are manufactured, sold or recovered (recycled) can be grasped, so that this method is useful for improving reliability of the design product, improving productivity, and lowering costs.
