To provide a commodity information provision system that can encourage a consumer or the like to make purchases.SOLUTION: A commodity information provision system includes: a system server 1 used via the Internet; and a smartphone 2 of a user who uses the system server 1 via the Internet. The system server 1 includes a database that stores, corresponding to a two-dimensional code 4 that represents a URI, video data, an image, and text data on a commodity or the like. The smartphone 2 includes at least an imaging device and a display, and also includes a communication device that transmits the two-dimensional code 4 read via the internet to the system server 1. The system server 1 transmits video data based on the two-dimensional code 4 to the smartphone 2.
