Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent the increase of a current consumption for an oscillating device of an OSD circuit by eliminating the current which is caused when an external clock is inputted through an oscillation output terminal and flows to a bias switch contained in the oscillating device.
CONSTITUTION: This oscillating device includes a switching circuit 7 composed of two switches which work together to perform the switching between a path reaching a clock supply terminal 3 from an oscillation input terminal 1 through an oscillation inverting circuit 5 and a path reaching directly the terminal 3 from the terminal 1. A bias switch 6 functions to secure the connection between the input gate of the circuit 5 and GND for the ON/OFF actions by the control signal supplied from an oscillation control terminal 4. The output terminal of the circuit 5 is connected to an oscillation output terminal 2 and also to the switching terminal of the switch set at the side of the terminal 3.
