This product production system is provided with an IC tag 120 attached to an article 100 in process of a portable telephone set 110 in which information associated with the production condition of the portable telephone set 110 is stored, a mounting device 140 for reading the information associated with the production condition of the portable telephone set 110 from the IC tag 120, and for mounting the components of the portable telephone set 110 on the article 100 in process attached with the IC tag 120 based on the read information associated with the production condition of the portable telephone set 110, a testing device 150 for reading the information associated with the production condition of the portable telephone set 110 from the IC tag 120, and for testing the article 100 in process attached with the IC tag 120 on which the components of the portable telephone set 110 are mounted based on the read information associated with the production condition of the portable telephone set 110 and an editing device 130 for writing information associated with the production of the portable telephone set 110 in the IC tag 120.
