Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent wrapping from being damaged or an incomplete wrapping from occurring by folding respective portions of a wrapping element in an overlapping manner on an overlapping position, and by folding one or portions located downstream in the traveling direction of a conveyer, then folding another portion on this top.
CONSTITUTION: A wrapping device 1 includes a wrapping conveyer 4 in cooperation with a rotary unit 5 for feeding a sheet 6 of a wrapping element and driven by a shaft 7 to rotate in a predetermined direction 9 around a shaft 8. A seat 10 is transferred around the conveyer 4 along a path extending on a loading mechanism 11 with a product 3 and the sheet inserted and a removing mechanism 12 with the product 3 and a tubular wrapping 12 removed. In this case, a plurality of portions 18, 19 of the sheet 6 are first folded by a folding unit 35. Then a fixed folding device 34 folds the first portion 18. Subsequently, a movable folding device 35 folds the second portion 19 onto an overlapping portion on the top of the first portion 18.
