Title:
PIEZOELECTRIC OSCILLATOR OF SURFACE MOUNT TYPE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3145471
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To decrease the manhours at the time of manufacturing the piezoelectric oscillator of the surface mount type, to allow it to have high reliability, and also, to reduce its cost by positioning one end part of a terminal extended from a base on the mounting surface, and soldering this end part to a conductive pattern of a printed board.
CONSTITUTION: One end part 22a of a terminal 22 extended from a base 21 is positioned on the mounting surface, and the terminal 22 is soldered to a conductive pattern of a printed board and mounted on the surface. At the time of forming the base 21, since a lead frame is formed like a plate, it can be embedded in a prescribed position by inserting and holding between the upper and the lower molds, and it does not occur that a mold material leaks out. After the base 21 is formed, the other end 22b of the terminal 22 is turned vertically into the inside of the base 21 from a notch 21c, therefore, a lead wire to the terminal of a circuit pattern of an insulating substrate becomes unnecessary. Accordingly, the cost required for the lead wire and the connection can be reduced, and also, since an integrally formed lead frame is bent, electrical and mechanical reliability can be obtained.
