Abstract:
PURPOSE: To produce 2-amiho-4-fluorobenzoic acid in high yield from a 4- fluorohalogenobenzoic acid by an easy method.
CONSTITUTION: A 4-fluorohalogenobenzoic acid is nitrated to produce a 4- fluoro-2-nitrohalogenobenzoic acid, which is then catalytically reduced to produce 2-amino-4-fluorobenzoic acid.
