Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a new production method for 2,6,2'-triisocyanatoethyl hexanoate in a shorter time and in higher yield compared with the conventional method.

CONSTITUTION: 2,6,2'-Triisocyanatoethyl hexanoate is produced by reacting 2,6,2'-triaminoethyl hexanoate tri-hydrochloride with phosgene in a aromatic nitrile solvent. By the use of an aromatic nitrile, e.g. benzonitrile as a reaction solvent, the objective 2,6,2'-triisocyanatoethyl hexanoate is obtained in a shorter time and in higher yield compared with the conventional method.
