Abstract:
PURPOSE: To stably recover an acid high in oxidation power like nitric acid or fluoric acid by electrodialysis over a long period of time.
CONSTITUTION: A bipolar membrane 1 having an interface layer 3 consisting of antimonic acid and a binder is used between a cation exchanger bed 2 and an anion exchanger bed 4 to hydrolyze nitrate or fluorate to produce an acid or alkali.
