PURPOSE: To obtain an adhesive tape having improved adhesive force, cohesive force, peeling adhesive force, etc. without temperature dependence, by melt applying an acrylic adhesive having a specific molecular weight and a narrow molecular weight distribution under heating to a tape base material, and irradiating the adhesive with ionizing radiation to crosslink the adhesive.
CONSTITUTION: An adhesive consisting essentially of a (co)polymer, containing 70mol% or more acrylic acid ester, preferably n-butyl acrylate or 2-ethylhexyl acrylate, expressed by the formula (R is 4W18C alkyl), and having 2×105W 6×105, preferably 2.5×105W5×105, weight-average molecular weight and ≤3.0, preferably ≤2.5 ratio between the weight-average and number-average molecular weights is melt applied to a tape base material, e.g. a polyester film or nonwoven fabric, preferably under heating at 160W200°C, and the resultant adhesive layer is then irradiated with ionizing radiation, preferably at 2.5W5Mrads, to give the aimed tape.
EFFECT: Improved shear adhesive force.
