Abstract:

PURPOSE: To profitably obtain the aldehyde compound by subjecting a hydroformylation reaction solution to a separation operation under a specific condition, while preventing the generation of by-products.
CONSTITUTION: (B) An olefinic unsaturated compound, (C) carbon monoxide and (D) hydrogen are subjected to a hydroformylation reaction in the presence of (A) a rhodium-phosphite complex catalyst, and subsequently at least one of the component C, the component D, the unreacted component B, (E) the aldehyde product, a solvent, a middle boiling point product and a high boiling point product is separated from the reaction product by a separation operation to obtain the aldehyde compound. Therein, the temperature and the residence time in at least one separation operation are selected from a range that P value calculated by the equation [T1 is the highest temperature (°C) of the separation operation; θT1 is the residence time of the liquid in the separation operation (min)] is equal to or less than 1.
