Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an alkoxytriazolinone useful as an intermediate for producing agrochemically active compounds such as herbicidally active compounds in a high yield.
SOLUTION: An alkoxytriazolinone of formula I (R1 is H, an alkyl or the like; R2 is an alkyl, an alkenyl or the like) is obtained by the cyclic condensation reaction of the reaction product of an imino(thio)carbonate diester of formula II (R3 is an alkyl, an aryl or the like) with a carbamic acid alkoxyethyl ester of formula III (R4 is an alkyl or the like). The reaction of the compound of formula II with the compound of formula III is carried out in the presence of a reaction auxiliary (pivalic acid or the like) preferably at 0-120°C. The produced semicarbazide derivative of formula IV is properly subjected to the isolation of the intermediates and subsequently subjected to a condensation reaction in the absence of a base at 0-200°C under a vacuum of 0.01-50 mb.
