Abstract:

PURPOSE:To obtain the title compound having a low content of condensates and being highly methylolated and alkyletherified by alkyl-etherifying a specified methylolated cyclohexanecarboguanamine by a reaction with an alcohol. CONSTITUTION:Methylolated cyclohexanecarboguanamine of a degree of methylolation of 3.4-4.0 on the average, obtained by using a formaldehyde (e.g. formalin) in an amount 10-30 molar times larger than that of cyclohexanecarboguanamine in reacting the cyclohexanecarboguanamine with the formaldehyde, is alkyl-etherified by a reaction with an alcohol (e.g. methyl alcohol).
