Abstract:

PURPOSE: To produce an alkylaromatic hydrocarbon by reacting an aromatic hydrocarbon with an alkylation agent such as alcohol and olefin.

CONSTITUTION: An aromatic hydrocarbon is reacted with a 2-3C alcohol or a 2-3C olefin under alkylation condition in the presence of an amorphous niobium phosphate catalyst.
