Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain an alkylsulfate powder, which has a bulk density of at least 300 g/l without additives, starting from a flowable alkylsulfate aq. solution or its aq. suspension.

CONSTITUTION: An aq. solution or an aq. suspension contg. 10-60 wt.% solid alkylsulfate is sprayed into a head part of a spraying tower through single component nozzles under a pressure of 106-107 Pa, and a resulting spray mist is dried to a powder having a bulk density of at least 300 g/l in co-current manner using a hot inert gas.
