Title:
PRODUCTION OF ALOE-CONTAINING THICK MALT SYRUP
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0484857
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve taste and flavor without impairing drug effects of an aloe by boiling liquid juice of aloe leaves, thick malt syrup and edible flour, dropping the resultant mixture onto dogtooth violet starch, extending the mixture into the shape of a rod and cutting the formed rod.

CONSTITUTION: Aloe leaves are crushed to provide a liquid juice and thick malt syrup, sugar, etc., are added thereto. The resultant mixture is then boiled down to a viscosity so that the juice may thread. Edible flour (e.g. glutinous rice flour) is subsequently mixed and boiled down. The obtained mixture is then dropped onto dogtooth violet starch, extended to a shape of a rod and cut to a suitable length.
