Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain an aluminum material for an extra-high voltage Al electrolytic capacitor in which defects such as nonmetallic inclusions and H2 gas present at the inside of the material are reduced, small in defects in the coating and capable of obtaining high withstand voltage.

CONSTITUTION: At the time of melting and casting aluminum in which the content of Fe is regulated to ≤15ppm, that of Si to ≤30ppm, that of Cu to ≤50ppm and that of the other elements to ≤20ppm respectively, the melting treatment is executed in vacuum or in an atmosphere of an inert gas. In this way, the thick chemical film can be formed.
