Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To mass-produce an Al matrix composite member having excellent cold and high temp. fatigue strengths.
SOLUTION: At the time of producing an Al matrix composite member, a stage in which raw material powder composed of rapidly solidified Al alloy powder and hard grains is prepd. by using an autorotation and revolution type mixer of low energy, a stage in which extrusion by a porous die is executed by using a billet composed of raw material powder and a stage in which warm forging is executed by using a stock cut out from the extruded material and a closed die, are used.
