PURPOSE: To produce an Al plate of uniform thickness esasily with a simple device by charging molten Al onto a receiving mold which is kept moved in a horizontal direction.

CONSTITUTION: While a receiving mold 3 is kept moved in a horizontal direction, molten Al is charged from a heat insulating furnace 1 through an auxiliary heat insulating furnace 2 and through a charging port 5 onto the mold 3. The charged Al is blocked at its trailing end with a stopper plate 6, and the temporary excessive part is blocked by ingate plates 4 at both ends and a pressure flask 7 at the forward end, by which an Al plate 11 of constant thickness is formed. This plate solidifies half. Thence, the plate 11 is cut to a suitable size by means of a cutting blade 10 while pressed with a cutting roller 9; at the same time, die patterns are formed on the surface. During this time, the suitable position of the bottom surface of the mold 3 is cooled with water or the like.
