Abstract:

PURPOSE: To produce useful compound for a dye in which a content of remaining copper is reduced remarkably by allowing bromo amine acids to react with aromatic sulfonamide or amine in the presence of a copper salt and organic reducing agent.

CONSTITUTION: This compound is produced by allowing bromo amine acid (1-amino-4-bromo-anthraquinone-2-sulfonic acid) or the metal salt to react with aromatic sulfonamide (e.g. benzol sulfonamide) or amine (e.g. aniline) in the aqueous solution (e.g. methanol) at 50°C to reflux temp. in the presence of a copper (II) salt, (e.g. copper (II) sulfate and the organic reducing agent (e.g. glucose). In the reaction, a mole ratio of the copper (II) salt to bromo amine acids is ≤0.05:1, preferably 0.04:1 to 0.07:1, and the same of the reducing agent to the copper (II) salt is 5:1 to 50:1.
