Abstract:

To produce an aminohalomethyl ketone (salt) in high efficiency by reacting a specific amino acid ester with a specific organic halogenated silane, reacting the product with a halomethyllithium and treating with an acid.

The objective α-aminohalomethyl ketone (salt) of formula IV (X is a halogen) is produced by reacting (A) an α-amino acid ester of formula I [R1 is a (substituted) lower alkyl, a (substituted) aralkyl or a (substituted) aryl; A is a (substituted) 1-10C alkyl, a (substituted)6-15C aryl, a group containing hetero atom in the above carbon skeleton or the like] with (B) an organic halogenated silane of formula II or III (R2 to R8 are each a lower alkyl or an aryl; X1 to X3 are each a halogen; (n) is 2-3), reacting the product with (C) a halomethyllithium and finally treating with (D) an acid. The component C is expressed by formula Li-CH2-X and is producible e.g. by reacting an organic lithium compound with a dihalomethane.
