PURPOSE: To provide a metallic tubular product having amorphous phase or super fine crystal phase for the most part of a structure by making a mold and a core with a metal having high thermal conductivity, pouring molten metal into a tubular cavity formed with both the mold and core under pressurizing condition and rapidly solidifying.
CONSTITUTION: The mold 1 is provided with the core 2 at this center to form the tubular cavity with both the mold 1 and core 2. By descending a vessel containing the molten metal and abutting a nozzle on a runner in the mold, the molten metal is press-charged into the cavity. The press-charged molten metal 8 is brought into contact with the mold 1 made of the cold material having high thermal conductivity and large heat capacity and rapidly cooled. As the cavity is tubular shape, the molten metal is cooled by the core, too and cooled from the inner and the outer parts of the tube. Therefore, the solidification is instantaneously developed and the metallic tubular product having substantially amorphous or super fine crystal phase of ≤100mm grain size is obtd. in one process.
