Abstract:
To prevent damage by termites without killing them and to use lumber of a soft wood including lumber from thinning as building materials.
The surface layer of lumber is impregnated convergently with an acrylate compound or a (meth)acrylate compound 1000 or below in molecular weight having 2-4 (meth)acryloyl groups and an alkylene oxide unit (RO) (R is 2-4C alkyl) in a molecule, the compound is cured/fixed in the lumber to form a low steam permeability WPC layer in the surface layer, and the surface of the lumber is coated with a high weatherablility coating.
