Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain the subject polyester film improved in the coating film strength, useful for packaging, plate making etc., by applying, on the surface(s) of a polyester film, a coating liquid containing a crosslinking agent and a specific polymer followed by drawing.

CONSTITUTION: (A) At least one surface of a polyester film is coated with (B) a coating liquid containing (i) a crosslinking agent and (ii) a polymer with its main chain having pyrrolidium ring followed by drawing, thus obtaining the objective film. The component (i) is e.g. an alkylolmelamine, whereas the component (ii) is e.g. a polymer of the formula (R1 and R2 are each alkyl, etc.; X- is Cl-, etc.).
