Abstract:
PURPOSE: To continuously and efficiently produce the fine metallic powder from the liquid drops of molten metal having small diameters even if the bore of a molten metal dropping nozzle is small.
CONSTITUTION: This apparatus 10 for production of the fine metallic powder drops the molten metal 14 in a molten metal tank 12 into a spraying chamber 18 via the molten metal dropping nozzle 16 which is vibrated in its axial direction by an exciter 20. The molten metal is shaken out of the molten metal dropping nozzle 16 by the forcible vibration of the exciter 20 and the liquid drops of the molten metal of the small diameters are dropped even if the bore of the molten metal dropping nozzle 16 is small and the flow resistance of the molten metal 14 is large. The fine metallic powder is thus produced.
