To provide a process for producing an aqueous powder slurry composition without generating a gel in the production process, free from the formation of coarse particles even by increasing the content of involatile component, having excellent storage stability and giving a cured coating film having extremely excellent flatness.
A molten material M is dispersed in an aqueous medium W while keeping the molten state of the material M and the dispersion is cooled to obtain the objective slurry. The molten material M is (1) a molten material M-1 of a compound A containing maleimide group and taking solid state at normal temperature, (2) a molten material M-2 of a mixture S taking solid state at ordinary temperature and containing a compound B having maleimide group and a compound C having a carbon-carbon double bond copolymerizable with maleimide group as essential components or (3) a mixture of the above molten material M-1 and a molten material M-3 of a compound D having carbon-carbon double bond copolymerizable with maleimide group and taking solid state at normal temperature.
