Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide a process for stably producing an aqueous resin having the merits of a urethane resin emulsion and the vinyl polymer emulsion at the same time and giving a coating film having excellent abrasion resistance, adhesivity and weather resistance. CONSTITUTION:A vinyl monomer is dispersed in an aqueous emulsion of a polyurethane in emulsified state and polymerized to obtain the objective aqueous resin. An aqueous resin exhibiting excellent properties for textile impregnation, paper impregnation, water-base paint, water-base ink and protection coating can be stably supplied by this process.
