Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a method for producing a lightweight and highstrength artificial stone material with industrial advantage.

CONSTITUTION: In a method for producing an artificial stone material having a multi-layered structure composed of a surface material and a lightweight base material, a surface material constituent mortar and a lightweight base material constituent mortar are put in layers and formed into one body. A mortar containing broken stone chips and a binder is exemplified as the surface material constituent mortar and a mortar containing lightweight aggregates, a hydraulic material and, as necessary, a reinforcing fiber is exemplified as the lightweight base material constituent mortar. A hydraulic material is exemplified as the binder and a modifier-containing cement is recommendably used as this hydraulic material.
