Title:
PRODUCTION OF ARTIFICIAL SUEDE FABRIC
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2000064182
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a method for producing an artificial suede fabric of having a clear three-dimensional pattern.

A fabric comprising ultrafine fibers of the single filament denier of ≤0.5 and thick fibers having thickness of ten times as much as the ultrafine fiber constituted of polyester-based fibers of the same component is treated by an etching process on which the ultrafine fibers are napped, the napped surface of the fabric is printed with an alkali etching solution in a pattern form and heat-treated to decompose and remove only the ultrafine fibers of the treated part and by a dyeing process. Consequently an artificial suede-tone fiber fabric having excellent design and a clear and beautiful three-dimensional pattern can be obtained by synergistic effects of contrast of light and shade and color difference caused by difference in single yarn fineness and the three- dimensional pattern developed by the chemical etching treatment.
