Title:
PRODUCTION OF BALL-POINT PEN TIP
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3235355
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve the writing touch and to uniformly rotate a ball by arranging the temporary receiving part of the ball to a position where the ball does not coming into contact with a ball receiving seat and pressing the ball to deform the temporary receiving part to form a gap between a contracted diameter part and the ball.
CONSTITUTION: When a ball-point pen tip A is produced, caulking processing is applied to the leading end of the tip A to form contracted diameter part to hold a ball 6 as a writing member in a state partially protruding from an inner hole 5. At this time, when caulking processing is applied to the inner hole 5, the contracted diameter part is formed in such a state that the inwardly protruding part 10 temporarily receiving the ball 6 is arranged to a position where the ball 6 does not come into contact with a ball receiving seal 9. Thereafter, pressing force is applied to the ball 6 by a press pin 13 not only to deform the inwardly protruding part 10 by the movement of the ball 6 but also to bring the ball 6 into contact with the ball receiving seal 9. A gap 11 is formed between the contracted diameter part and the ball 6. By this constitution, the writing touch is improved and the ball 6 is uniformly rotated.
