PURPOSE: To facilitate the manufacture of a belt-shaped hollow body by forcing a pressure medium into a core which is made of several unvulcanized rubber sheets varied in the adhesivity laminated and then, vulcanized being wrapped with a belt- shaped hollow construction member in layers.
CONSTITUTION: An unvulcanized inner layer rubber 3 and an unvulcanized rubber cloth sheet 2a are laid on a sheet-shaped molded core 41 made of several unvulcanized rubber sheets 4a ane 4b varied in adhesivity sequentially one upon another wrapping it in such a manner as to be folded at right and left ends thereof. In addition, an unvulcanized rubber-coated sheet 2b is laidethereon with right and left ends folded covering it and covered with an unvulcanized outer layer rubber 1 to form an unvulcanized belt-shaped molding E1a, which is vulcanized to obtain a vulcanized belt-shaped molding E1A. A pressure medium is forced between composition layers 4A and 4B of the vulcanized core of the molding E1A through a nipple at both ends thereof to separate the composition layers 4A and 4B to form a hollow section. Thus, a belt-shaped hollow body E1 is obtained.
