PURPOSE: To easily produce β-fluoro-t-alkylamine hydrochloride and β-fluoro-t- alkylamide useful as intermediate of herbicide and insecticide at a high yield from a fundamental raw material without using expensive reagent.
CONSTITUTION: The compound of formula III is produced by allowing a compound of formula I-II to react with nitrile of the formula R5-CN wherein R5 is H, an alkyl, halogenoalkyl or allyl, phenylalkyl which may have substituent at 0-100°C in the presence of sulphuric acid and diluent, and the nitrile of 1-5mol and sulphuric acid of 1-3mol per 1mol of the compounds of the formula I-II. Then, the compound of formula IV is produced by hydrolyzing the obtain compound after separating it at any time. In the formula I-II, each of R1-R3 is H, an alkyl, halogenoalkyl, alkoxyalkyl; R4 is an alkyl, halogenoalkyl, alkoxyalkyl, aryl which may have substituent.
