Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide the method for directly and specifically remove or reduce only β-lactoglobulin from defatted milk.
CONSTITUTION: A method for directly removing the β-lactoglobulin from defatted milk by utilizing the specific affinity of the β-lactoglobulin for retinoid. The method for producing the β-lactoglobulin by allowing retinoid to directly adsorb the β-lactoglobulin in defatted milk and subsequently eluting the β-lactoglobulin with a diluted acid having a pH of ≤4.5.
