Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide the production method of a bevel gear improved in the product quality by enabling high precision forging.
CONSTITUTION: A forging stock 21 is accommodated in a cavity 37 formed with upper/lower pair of an upper die 31 and lower die 32, when the upper die 31 is lowered and is brought in tight contact with the lower die 31, the forging stock 21 in the cavity 37 is subjected to first stage forging by an upper punch 33 of the upper die 31 so as to be subjected to flow deforming up to the tooth bottom part of a bevel gear 11 to be produced at least. After the first stage forging, by lowering the upper die 31 and lower die 32 while being in tight contact, the forging stock 21 is subjected to second stage forging by a lower punch 36 to be subjected to flow deforming to the tooth tip part of the bevel gear 11, the bevel gear 11 is forged.
