Title:
PRODUCTION OF BIS(1,2-ETHANEDIAMINE)GOLD CHLORIDE AND GOLD-PLATING LIQUID USING THE SAME
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3201732
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To safely obtain the subject gold compound useful for gold-plating liquids, etc., in a short reaction time and in a high yield by reacting sodium gold chloride with ethylenediamine (salt) in a solvent in a specific temperature range.
SOLUTION: Sodium gold chloride is reacted with ethylenediamine (anhydride) in a solvent comprising at least one of acetonitrile, methanol and ethanol at a temperature of 15-60°C to safely obtain the objective bis(1,2-ethanediamine)gold chloride useful for gold-plating liquids, etc., in a short reaction time and in a good yield. The bis(1,2-ethanediamine)gold chloride and sodium bromide can be dissolved in water in concentrations of 0.01-0.2M and 0.01-1M, respectively, to obtain a gold-plating liquid having a pH of 1-8.
