Abstract:
To provide a production method of bisphenol A especially suitable as a production raw material of polycarbonate resin for optical use.
In the treatment of a molten phenol or a phenol solution under an inert gas atmosphere in a production process of bisphenol A, a purified gas obtained by filtering a filter G and containing ≤100 particles/L of fine particles having a diameter more than 0.3μm is used. Especially the purified gas is preferably used in cooling zone of the pelletizing tower.
