PURPOSE: To obtain the titled article freed from nonuniformity of quality and deterioration of quality, having excellent durability and good water absorptivity, sound absorption, etc., by adding a bitumen to an isocyanato-terminated urethane prepolymer, adding water and/or a polyfunctional crosslinking agent to the mixture and (expansion)-curing the resulting mixture.
CONSTITUTION: The titled article is produced by adding a bitumen (e.g., asphalt), with agitation, to an isocyanato-terminated urethane prepolymer (preferably, one of an NCO% of 4W18%) obtained by reacting a polyol with an organic isocyanate, adding water and/or a polyfunctional crosslinking agent (e.g., diethanolamine) to the mixture and expansion-curing or curing the resulting mixture. The obtained article is freed from nonuniformity of quality and deterioration of quality due to blooming of bitumen, has excellent durability, good water stop, sound absorption, etc., and is useful as a joint or a sound-proof vibration-proof material.
